Ordering
Customers are able to manually edit or cancel their order themselves before their order has moved on to the fulfillment and/or shipping stage. To do so, go to your account page to edit, cancel or reorder.
If your order has already moved on to the fulfillment stage, you can request a change or cancellation via email, however, there will be a $15 administration charge. If you'd like to go ahead with an order change after your order has reached the fulfilment stage, please email your change request and we will send you a separate Paypal invoice for the administration charge to be paid before your change(s) will be processed. Please allow at least 3 days to process your invoice and order change. This may delay the shipment of your order accordingly.
Please note that we can't cancel or change orders that have already been shipped.
Due to the nature of our products, Grounded Sage Skincare does not accept returns or exchanges under any circumstances.
- Should your order arrive, and something is clearly wrong with the product(s), or the product(s) have been damaged in transit, please contact us ASAP.
- Grounded Sage Skincare, on a case-by-case basis, may offer to resend the product(s) or issue a refund.
- In order to have your products resent or a refund issued, you will be required to provide photos of the damaged products.

Secondly, the availability of samples varies. We try to make a few samples available for purchase each time we make a batch of full-size products but those samples often sell out fast.
If a sample you're looking for isn't in stock, be sure to sign up for an email notification (a signup box is located on individual product pages in the online shop) to be notified when the sample you're interested in becomes available.

Paypal or credit card payment is preferred. We also accept Apple Pay.
If you have a Paypal account, you can also make payments from your bank account by attaching a bank account to your Paypal account.
Alternatively, you can contact us to pay for products with an email money transfer. For this method of payment, please email us the list of products you would like, as well as your shipping address. Please note that your email money transfer needs to be sent to us within 48 hours of us sending you the total for your order.
All prices listed here are in Canadian dollars.
Please note that Paypal does all currency conversions. You can place an order no matter what country you're in, or what currency you're paying with.
At this time, we cannot take on requests to add or eliminate any ingredients that are currently a part of any formula, including requests made due to allergies. Our formulas are designed in a manner to optimize their effectiveness and a lot of care has gone into the selection of ingredients for each product.
We welcome customer feedback on any and all products, but due to the time restraints of producing handmade skincare, we cannot accept custom orders, including requests for “bulk” sized products at this time.
If we're able to offer custom sizes or formulas in the future, we'll make note of that here (as well as in our other forms of communications).

We’re pleased to offer an international currency converter. However, we are a Canadian owned company and as such, the currency our store check out is required to be in Canadian dollars. The good news is, your total is automatically converted to your home currency upon purchase and your bank statements will reflect this. The currency converter is simply to give you an idea of what you can expect your total to be once converted by your bank.

We recommend ordering as early as possible as the guidelines below are just that - guidelines and not guarantees. Guidelines are based on Canada Post's expected delivery times for the holiday season, plus additional time factored in for us to pack up your order. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out.
For the best chance of delivery before Christmas...
- Canadian Shipping Addresses
- Dec 13th (Regular Shipping) - order before this date when picking our flat rate shipping option (including orders that qualify for free shipping) for the best chance at Canada Post delivering your order before Christmas (without paying for XpressPost)
- After orders have been dropped off at Canada Post or UPS, they typically reach their destination within Canada in 2 business days for the Fredericton/Moncton area, 3 business days for the rest of Atlantic Canada, and 4 business days for provinces outside of Atlantic Canada.
- After Dec 13th (XpressPost) - If you want your order before Christmas and it's on or after Dec 13th, we highly recommend picking the XpressPost option at checkout. After orders have been dropped off at Canada Post with XpressPost postage, they are typically delivered the next business day for Atlantic Canada and within 2 business days outside of Atlantic Canada.
- Dec 13th (Regular Shipping) - order before this date when picking our flat rate shipping option (including orders that qualify for free shipping) for the best chance at Canada Post delivering your order before Christmas (without paying for XpressPost)
- USA Shipping Addresses

- After orders have been dropped off at Canada Post or UPS, they typically reach their destination within the USA within 4-7 business days (some states will take longer for delivery, but we find most orders arrive well within a 2 week time frame).
- After Dec 6th (XpressPost) - If you want your order before Christmas and it's on or after Dec 6th, we highly recommend picking the XpressPost option at checkout. After orders have been dropped off at Canada Post with XpressPost postage, they typically reach their destination within the USA within 2-3 business days
- Dec 6th (Regular Shipping) - order before this date when picking our flat rate shipping option (including orders that qualify for free shipping) for the best chance at Canada Post or UPS delivering your order before Christmas (without paying for XpressPost)
❄️ Last Day To Order:
- The last day to order and have your items shipped before our winter holiday starts is Thursday, December 22nd, 2022. After December 22nd, we'll resume shipping orders on January 3rd, 2023.
❄️ Winter Holidays
- The Grounded Sage studio will be on winter holidays starting at the end of the business day on Friday, December 23rd, 2022.
- We'll return from holidays on Tuesday, January 3rd, 2023, at which time we'll work through shipping out orders that came in from December 23rd - January 3rd as quickly as possible.
We currently ship within Canada (our home country) as well as to the United States
Shipping costs depend on the country the order is being shipped to. See below for more details:
Canadian & USA Orders:
- We offer a flat rate shipping of $15 for all Canadian & US orders!
- Plus free everyday shipping on orders over $150 CAD
- A free shipping option is triggered at check out for North American orders that are a minimum of $150 CAD before tax/shipping and after any discounts, promotions, or coupons.
International Orders:
- Since the cost of shipping between countries varies wildly, we have set up our shopping cart to integrate with Canada Post's system for international orders. This integration results in our shopping cart being able to provide live, accurate shipping rates for Air Mail shipping to your country. This means, when you go through checkout, the shopping cart will automatically provide you with the exact cost to ship your order with Air Mail.

Please log in to the "My Account" section of the shop to see the status of your orders as well as see any tracking numbers.
A few things to know:
- You will receive an email when your order has shipped
- please check your spam/junk folder if you don't see the email in your inbox.
- We aim to ship orders within 2 business days.
- The exceptions to our 2 business day turnaround are discussed below.
- Order status and tracking numbers are updated when the postage for your order has been created.
- If there is ever a significant delay before your order can be shipped, we'll email you.
Exceptions to our typical turnaround time include:
- during local/national holidays (when the post office is closed)
- during peak holiday times
- when we are experiencing a higher than usual volume of orders (like during special events)
- wholesale orders - these don't follow our typical shipping schedule.
These guidelines indicate the estimated delivery time AFTER your order has been shipped.
These guidelines are for expedient mail. If your parcel was shipped without tracking, the delivery time would be longer than the fastest estimate below.
*Please also note that the postal service tends to have slower delivery times during the holidays.
Within Canada:
Usually takes 5 to 10 business days
To the US:
Can take 5 to 20 business days but usually arrives within two weeks.
International Orders:
Can take 4-12 weeks. During the spring and summer, orders usually seem to arrive within 6 weeks but take much longer in the fall and winter (the closer we get to Christmas, the longer the parcels take to arrive).

Does my order have a tracking number?
- For each order, a mail courier service will be indicated along with a tracking number if available. You'll find this information in the shipping confirmation email as well as in the My Account section of our website.
- Some shipping methods don't include a tracking number, but for most orders, a tracking number will be provided.
- If your order was shipped with Canada Post via Air Mail, Ground Mail, and Small Packet Mail, it will not have a tracking number.
How to use your tracking number:
First, check to see which courier your parcel was shipped with. You'll find this information in the shipping confirmation email as well as in the My Account section of our website. Then, if your order has a tracking number, follow the directions below to track your parcel. Need help? No problem! Please reach out - we're happy to help 🙂
CANADA POST
If your order was shipped with Canada Post:
- Use your tracking number on the Canada Post website to track your parcel. If your parcel is going to the USA, you can track it via the Canada Post website until it crosses into the USA. Once it crosses into the USA, you can track it the rest of the way at the USPS website.
USPS
If your order shows the courier as USPS:
- Use your tracking number on the USPS website to track your order.
UPS
If your order shows the courier as UPS:
- Use your tracking number on the UPS website to track your order.
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure their mailing/shipping address is correct. Grounded Sage ships to the address given at checking out. Please ensure the address you pick while completing your payment is correct and matches the shipping address given during check out. Grounded Sage is not responsible if a customer has made errors when providing their shipping address.
When packages are returned to Grounded Sage marked ‘Returned’, ‘Unclaimed’, 'Refused', or ‘Invalid Address’, the customer will be contacted. The customer will then have 2 options:
- To have their order refunded, less: a 20% restocking fee, all shipping charges, and the fee charged to us by Canada Post or UPS to pick up the returned parcel.
- To have their order re-shipped to an address that can accept the order (with signature confirmation). If this option is picked, the customer will need to pay the fee charged to us by Canada Post or UPS to pick up their returned parcel as well as the shipping fees to re-ship their order.
Grounded Sage Skincare does not provide worldwide shipping. We currently ship within Canada, as well as to the USA.
All orders will be held until full payment has been received. Once full payment has been processed, your order will be shipped within 2-4 business days. Please be advised that if you select electronic bank transfer (via PayPal) as your method of payment, there is a slight delay in the payment process. Please refer to your PayPal account for an estimated date of processing.
Please log in to the "My Account" section of the shop to see the status of your orders, as well as see any tracking numbers. You will receive an email when your package has been shipped.
If there is ever a significant delay before your order can be shipped, we'll email you.
Grounded Sage is not responsible for any additional delivery charges one may encounter when receiving their packages. These additional fees are the sole responsibility of the purchaser.
Should you choose not to add a tracking number to your order upon checkout of your purchase, Grounded Sage is not responsible for lost orders.
International orders are shipped by air mail and do not automatically include a tracking number. Should you wish to have a tracking number added, you must request it during your checkout process in the ‘notes’ section. You will also incur an additional charge for the added tracking number, in which Grounded Sage will contact you before your order is processed.
Free Shipping
For any North American orders that qualify for free shipping with our "free shipping for North American orders over $150" promo, we'll pick the most economical courier to ship your parcel with.
Products / Ingredients
If you have allergies or sensitivities, please be sure to check the ingredients listed in each product section before purchasing and for more information about ingredients, see our ingredient info page, or contact us - we'd love to help!
As with all bath and beauty products, avoid sensitive areas and test a small area before applying liberally.
Discontinue use if any irritation occurs.
Please note that even though our products smell super yummy, they are for external use only.
NUT ALLERGIES: please note that many Grounded Sage products include nut ingredients and our studio is NOT a nut-free environment.
If you have a sensitivity or allergy to gluten, it's important to note that none of our products have gone through thorough testing of gluten levels and we don't create in a gluten-free studio.
If an ingredient has been tested by a 3rd party for gluten levels and has been deemed to be gluten-free, we'll include that information on product pages that contain the gluten-free certified ingredient. Please check the ingredient information on individual product pages for this information.
Our moisturizers and a few other products come with an expiry date sticker on them. The expiry date is a very conservative estimate to account for any products that might end up in less than ideal conditions (for example, left in direct sunlight).
Please use any products you purchase from us within 1 year from the purchase date or before the date listed on the expiry sticker (whichever is sooner).
Typically speaking, products that have a year shelf life under optimal conditions won't have an expiry sticker on them.
Additionally, some of our products, like our soap, don't "expire" but their aromatic properties will fade over time. Please use within 1 year of purchase.
You can be rest assured that none of the ingredients we use is micronized. None of our ingredients includes nanoparticles.
Many manufacturers use titanium dioxide that is coated with silicone, which may clog your pores. It may also be coated with aluminium hydroxide. Rest assured that the titanium dioxide used in Grounded Sage products is NOT coated with silicone or aluminium hydroxide. The titanium dioxide we use is free of toxic coatings and is safe for acne prone skin.
First off, nope - no microbeads here! Grounded Sage only uses biodegradable, plant-based wax (that's in the shape of beads! How brilliant is that?!). You'll never find those nasty, environmentally destructive plastic beads in our products.

Have you seen these icons on our product pages and wondered what they meant? Wonder no more! Here's what each icon means...
Antioxidant-Rich: While almost every single one of our products contains antioxidants, this icon indicates that this product has antioxidants in spades! Antioxidants are nature's free-radical fighters and have a tonne of bonuses for the skin (as if it fighting free radicals wasn't enough!).
Antibacterial Properties: This product contains one or more antibacterial ingredients.
Biodegradable Packaging: This product comes in biodegradable packaging that can be added to your compost pile or recycled.
Honey or Beeswax: This product contains honey or beeswax from locally sourced, ethical beekeepers. Additionally, Grounded Sage Skincare is currently in the process of transitioning to complete vegan ingredients.
Cruelty-Free: All Grounded Sage products are certified cruelty-free by The Leaping Bunny and PETA. Additionally, Grounded Sage is against animal testing and never uses ingredients that have been tested on animals to create our products (and we test our own products on our human friends, fans, and family).
Extra Gentle: This product is made with extra gentle ingredients and formulated with super sensitive skin in mind.
Recyclable Packaging: This product comes in recyclable packaging.
Vegetarian: This product is vegetarian-friendly. Please also refer to our Cruelty-Free icon above. Additionally, Grounded Sage Skincare is currently in the process of transitioning to complete vegan ingredients.
Vegan: This product is vegan-friendly. Please also refer to our Cruelty-Free icon above. Additionally, Grounded Sage Skincare is currently in the process of transitioning to complete vegan ingredients.
Vitamin C: This product contains vitamin C. This vitamin contains impressive amounts of antioxidants and is known to aid in the brightening of skin (i.e. helping reduce the signs of ageing) and protecting it from free radicals. Vitamin C is also a natural alternative to drugstore toners, by helping reduce dark spots and other sun damage. When used as part of an acne skincare routine, it can also help reduce inflammation and dims post-acne redness. Not to mention, the skin will feel firmer thanks to its ability to increase collagen production.
Reward Program
This is our way of showing our appreciation. You’ll earn points for activities on our site, like referrals and purchases. You can use them to earn discounts towards purchases. The more you collect, the more you save.
Anyone with an account is automatically enrolled.
You can earn points for all sorts of activities, including referring friends and making purchases. To see all the ways you can earn points, click here then click the 'Earn Points' tab in the menu.
You can also click the "Rewards Program" link at the bottom of our website under the "Quick Links" list, then click "ways to earn" in the pop up box.
Sign in to your account, then click here to see your reward points balance. You can also click the "Rewards Program" link at the bottom of our website under the "Quick Links" list.
Click the 'Grounded Sage Reward' bar. If you have enough points, you'll see the rewards you can redeem. Alternatively, after clicking the click the "Grounded Sage Rewards" bar, you can select the tab called 'Redeem Points'. Here you’ll see all the rewards we offer. If you have enough points, you can redeem them for a reward.
We can change your email address and transfer over any points you have! Simply send us an email with the email address you're currently using and the email address you'd like to switch to.
No. Go ahead and earn as many as you can!
Firstly, congrats on hitting a Grounded Sage rewards level! We’re so happy to have you as part of our tribe of Radiant Rebels!
Secondly, once points have been cashed out for a coupon code, they cannot be converted back into points to be added back on to your rewards points total. But never fear, the code you receive at cash out does not expire and can be used at your leisure on another order.
Lastly, unused codes can be found at any time by logging into your account and clicking on “My Account.” Any unused codes will be found on this page, as well as your current store credit balance (if applicable).
If you have unused rewards codes that were created before March 20, 2018, we will honour those codes and combine them for you by request only. In order to do so, you must send us an email to hello@groundedsage.com or message through the Grounded Sage Skincare Facebook Page that includes the codes you want to combine and the email address attached to your account.
Codes created after March 20, 2018 cannot be combined with other rewards codes, so be sure you are only cashing out rewards when you reach a reward level you’ll want to use right now or in the near future.

* **Pending:** These points need to be verified before you can redeem them. This typically applies to purchases and referrals
* **Cancelled:** These points will not be added to your account. For example, this will happen if you cancel a purchase (the points will change from pending to cancelled)

- Should your order arrive, and something is clearly wrong with the product(s), or the product(s) have been damaged in transit, please contact us ASAP.
- Grounded Sage, on a case-by-case basis, may offer to resend the product(s) or issue a refund.
- In order to have your products resent or a refund issued, you will be required to provide photos of the damaged products.
Only ONE coupon code can be applied to each individual order. Should you attempt to use more than one coupon code on your order, the last coupon code entered will be the one that is applied to your final total. This policy also includes reward points redeemed as store credit.

At this time, we cannot take on requests to add or eliminate any ingredients that are currently a part of any formula, including requests made due to allergies. Our formulas are designed in a manner to optimize their effectiveness and a lot of care has gone into the selection of ingredients for each product.
We welcome customer feedback on any and all products, but due to the time restraints of producing handmade skincare, we cannot accept custom orders, including requests for “bulk” sized products at this time.
If we're able to offer custom sizes or formulas in the future, we'll make note of that here (as well as in our other forms of communications).

Should you use Paypal as your method of payment, we do not receive access to your credit card numbers, bank accounts and information the like. Your personal information is kept secure by Paypal. Similarly, should you ever choose to use our Square reader at a Grounded Sage event, Square is the confidential holder of your personal information, and we will not have access to it.

Acceptance, Rejection or Cancellation of Orders
You agree that your submission of an order on the Website is an offer to buy the Grounded Sage products listed in your order under these Terms of Use. All orders must be accepted by Grounded Sage. We may choose not to accept any orders including those that Grounded Sage suspects are not placed in good faith or contravene applicable law. Once your order is received and we accept your order, we will send you an order confirmation via email with your order number and details of the items you have ordered. Acceptance of your order and the formation of the contract of sale between you and us will not take place unless and until you have received an order confirmation email from us. We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to cancel any order prior to shipping and whether before or after acceptance of your order. Upon such a cancellation we will send a cancellation notice to the email provided by you. If cancelled, we will have no obligation to fulfill your order and you will have no obligation to pay us for the order. Upon shipping of your order, you will be charged the amount set out in your order confirmation email. We will not ship the order to you until your card issuer has authorized the use of your card for payment of the ordered Products. Returns or Exchanges

Shipping Times, Tracking, and Additional Shipping Information
After receiving payment, we ship items that are in stock within one week (see more below).
We aim to ship orders within 2 business days. The exceptions to our 2 business day turn around are discussed below.
Order statuses and tracking numbers are updated when postage has been created for your order.
If there is ever a significant delay before your order can be shipped, we’ll email you.
Exceptions to our typical turnaround time include:
- during local/national holidays (when the post office is closed)
- during peak holiday times (for Grounded Sage that’s October through to the end of January)
- when we are experiencing a higher than usual volume of orders (like during special events and sales)
- large custom orders and wholesale orders – these order types don’t follow our typical shipping schedule.
Grounded Sage is not responsible for any additional delivery charges one may encounter when receiving their packages. These additional fees are the sole responsibility of the purchaser.
Should you choose not to add a tracking number to your order upon check out of your purchase, Grounded Sage is not responsible for lost orders.
International orders are shipped air mail and do not automatically include a tracking number. Should you wish to have a tracking number added, you must request it during your checkout process in the ‘notes’ section. You will also incur an additional charge for the added tracking number, in which Grounded Sage will contact you regarding before your order is processed. Please note the additional charge is generally double the international shipping fee that you are charged automatically during your checkout.
Note that Grounded Sage reserves the right to decline shipment of orders outside of North America.
Free Shipping
Should your order qualify for free shipping, Grounded Sage reserves the right to ship your order via the most economical option regardless of the option picked during checkout.
For any North American orders that qualify for free shipping with our “free shipping for North American orders over $200” promo, tracking will be included on the order.
Order Delivery Times
These guidelines indicate the estimated delivery time AFTER your order has been shipped (which is generally a week after your order has been placed – see “When will my order be shipped?” above for more info on processing timelines)
These guidelines are for “AIR MAIL WITH TRACKING” (expedient mail). If you picked “Air Mail with NO Tracking”, the delivery time will be longer than the fastest estimate.
*Please also note that the postal service tends to have slower delivery times during the holidays.
Within Canada:
Usually takes 5 to 10 business days
To the US:
Can take 5 to 20 business days but usually arrives within two weeks.
International Orders:
Can take 4-12 weeks. During the spring and summer orders usually seem to arrive with in 6 weeks but take much longer in the fall and winter (the closer we get to Christmas, the longer the parcels take to arrive).
Order Payment
Paypal is preferred. You can use your credit card through the Paypal website without signing up.
If you do have a Paypal account you can also make payments from you bank account by attaching a bank account to your Paypal account.
Alternatively, you can contact me to pay for products with an email money transfer. For this method of payment, please email me the list of products you would like as well as your shipping address.
Please note that all prices listed here are in Canadian dollars.

Changes to Orders
Customers are able to manually edit or cancel their order themselves before their order has moved on to the fulfillment and/or shipping stage. To do so, go to your account page to edit, cancel or reorder.
If your order has already moved on to the fulfillment stage, you can request a change or cancellation via email, however, there will be a $15 administration charge. Note that we can’t cancel orders that have already been shipped. Please email your change request and we will send you a separate Paypal invoice for the administration charge to be paid before your change(s) will be processed. Please allow at least 3 days to process your invoice and order change. This may delay the shipment of your order accordingly.
Cancellation Fees
Customers are able to manually edit or cancel their order themselves before their order has moved on to the fulfillment and/or shipping stage. To do so, go to your account page to edit, cancel or reorder.
If your order has already moved on to the fulfillment stage, you can request a change or cancellation via email, however, a cancellation fee will apply.
- For orders under $100 before applicable taxes, the cancellation fee will be $5
- For orders over $100 before applicable taxes, the cancellation fee will be $10
Note that we can’t cancel orders that have already been shipped.
Incorrect Addresses, Non-deliverable, or Refused Shipments
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure their mailing/shipping address is correct. Grounded Sage ships to the address given at checkout. Please ensure the address you pick while completing your Paypal payment is correct and matches the shipping address given during check out. Grounded Sage is not responsible if a customer has made errors when providing their shipping address.
When packages are returned to Grounded Sage marked ‘Returned’, ‘Unclaimed’, ‘Refused’, or ‘Invalid Address’, the customer will be contacted. The customer will then have 2 options:
- To have their order refunded, less a 20% restocking fee, all shipping charges, and the fee charged to us by Canada Post to pick up the returned parcel.
- To have their order re-shipped to an address to that can accept the order (with signature confirmation). If this option is picked, the customer will need to pay the fee charged to us by Canada Post to pick up their returned parcel, as well as the shipping fees to re-ship their order.
