Question

Hey there!

I am already starting to take steps to clear up my acne internally (diet change, zinc, probiotic, more water, etc.) but what would be the best (coconut oil free) Grounded Sage products for clearing forehead acne? I never really get any acne on my forehead but I have a HUGE outbreak and not sure which is the best way to tackle it externally.

Thanks!

Answer

Hey there!

What a great question!

The best way, externally, would be to make sure you’re unclogging your pores with regular exfoliation. To really get the process started and get the heavy lifting out of the way, go with a fruit enzyme / AHA product (The Congestion Protection 5% AHA Mist would be a good choice for this. It will do the heavy lifting within a few applications and then you can move to a maintenance dose. Follow the directions for the best way to achieve this).

To keep those pores clear, a cleansing exfoliator would be a great option too. My suggestion here would be the Pineapple Facial Scrub (Note: that if you have a routine that works for the rest of your face, feel free to just use the Pineapple Facial Scrub on your forehead).

You’ll want to make sure you’re getting enough hydration in your routine so your pores are lubricated to purge any clogs and debris. Since I’m guessing your forehead breakouts are small, clustered, raised bumps, go with a mist (rather than a gel). The Acne BOP Mist or Hydration Mist would both work here. If you want to keep ingredients to a minimum and want the added support of B vitamins, go with the Hydration Mist.

Lastly, be sure to layer on a moisturizer that targets inflammation, acne bacteria, and is lightweight enough for the forehead. Because of the types of breakouts you mentioned (and you requested coconut-free), your best choice for this would be the Raw Radiance Facial Moisturizer.

I hope that helps!
